APH: Congratulations on Your Renewed Independance~

YAY!! I WON SECOND PLACE WITH THIS ENTRY!!!!

History:~Diplomatic relations between both countries were established in early 1990s when Turkey became one of the first states in the world to announce officially about recognition of sovereign Ukraine.~
-I know, I know, So many people have already drawn this, that it might have well just been the prompt.  When I first saw that someone had already beat me to it, I thought of maybe picking another historical event, but I had already put so much time and effort into this one that I decided to keep it.  I really wanted to get this done sooner like on the 24th of August so I could kill 2 birds with one stone, but as you can tell that didn't happen.
 - I picked this event, for many reasons one being I wanted to show the respect these two have for each other. Also because I love Ukrainian Traditional Garments and I saw the perfect chance to sneak them in.

Ficlet:
Miss Ukraine aimlessly roamed the streets of her capital. She observed her people, with a great smile on her face. She had good reason to wear that smile, for not long before she started her walk, her Declaration of Independance had been ratified, meaning she was legally an independant state, no longer one with her younger brother. For the first time in a long time her people, were truly her people and hers alone, and just that thought alone brought the smile to her face. After the ratification she changed from her formal meeting outfit into something more confortable, her traditional garments, but not before she thanked the few neighbors that had come to congratulated her. She wore her garments proudly for they not only symbolized her heritage, but also her freedom.
Ukraine was so engulfed in her happiness and people watching, that a light tap on her shoulder caught her by surprise.
Ukraine: Hmm...*She turned her head*
?: Good it's you. *sighs in relief* I was having trouble finding you. *Puts his hand down to his side. While his other hand remains behind his back.*
Ukraine: Oh, Mr.Turkey...What brings you to my humble home? *she asked instinctively even though she could already guess the answer. She turned her body to face him.*
Turkey: Well, I heard the news that you regained your sovereignty. It was about time you got your freedom, young lady.*he nodded*... I know I'm probably not the first one to do this, but I came to congratulate you. I also brought you a little gift to show my sincerity...*he pulled out a lovely bouquet from behind his back. It was comprised of both Tulips and Sunflowers, which happened to be one another's national flowers.**Ukraine recieved the gift a bit puzzled, she really wasn't expecting it.* ... I heard you liked Sunflowers so I brought you some, I also put the last of my Tulips... red was all I had. *he slightly blushed*
Ukraine: Thank you, for the nice gift, they're beautiful, but you didn't have to get me a gift. Your recognition alone is the greatest gift I could ask for.
Turkey: You're Welcome. I know... *he scratched his head* I just wanted to my congratulations to be special and have bit more meaning. *he chuckled*... I hope that after today our relations with each other will be able to blossom *he nodded* ...our diplomatic relations is what I meant. *he added in a bit flustered*
Ukraine: I hope so too, I would really like that. *she said with a light warm laugh*
Turkey: *He grinned* Well, I really better be off ,*he said taking a step back* I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome. *he said half-jokingly followed by a chuckle* I know you want to celebrate this joyous occasation with your people, so I'll let you do that in peace. Congratulations once again on your Independence, I wish you luck and that people will respect your sovereignty.
*Turkey had already walked beyond her grasp before Ukraine could respond.*
(Ukraine: Thank You, Turkey. You don't know how much your small gesture means to me. *She whispered with a smile on her face*)

I was really tempted to draw Turkey without his mask but decided to leave it.
I was originally going to color the tulips yellow, but with the sunflowers that was too much yellow, besides I like red tulips better and the meaning behind them, they mean "perfect love" and there is a Turkish legend of how they got that meaning. 
I think my brother might be right that I went I little overboard with all the flowers. 
I know the Ukrainian flag doesn't normally have the trident, but it's a really beautiful symbol, I really wanted to add it in.

Historia</b>:~ Las relaciones diplomáticas entre ambos países se establecieron a principios de 1990, cuando Turquía se convirtió en uno de los primeros estados en el mundo para anunciar oficialmente sobre el reconocimiento de la soberanía de Ucrania.~
- Lo sé, lo sé, que muchas personas ya han dibujado esto, que podría haber sido el tema. Cuando vi por primera vez que alguien ya me había ganado a él, pensé que tal vez debería escoger otro acontecimiento histórico, pero yo ya había puesto tanto tiempo y esfuerzo en esto que decidí mantenerlo. Tenía muchas ganas de tener esto hecho pronto como el 24 de agosto, así que podía matar 2 pájaros de un tiro, pero como ustedes pueden ver eso no sucedió.
- Elegí este evento, por muchas razones un ser Quería mostrar el respeto que estos dos se tienen el uno al otro. También porque me encanta Prenda Tradicionales de Ukrania y vi la oportunidad perfecta para colarse en un dibijo.

Ficlet:
La Señorita Ucrania vagó sin rumbo por las calles de su capital. Ella observó su gente, con una gran sonrisa en su rostro. Ella tenía buenas razones para llevar esa sonrisa, por no mucho antes de que ella comenzó su paseo, su Declaración de Independencia había sido ratificada, lo que significa que ella era legalmente un estado independiente, ya no era uno con su hermano menor. Por primera vez en mucho tiempo a su gente, eran verdaderamente su gente y sólo de ella, y por ese pensamiento solo trajo una sonrisa a su cara. Después de la ratificación se cambió de su traje de reunión formal en algo más confortable, sus prendas tradicionales, pero no antes de que ella agradeció a los pocos vecinos que habían venido a felicitarla. Llevaba sus prendas  conorgullo porque no sólo simbolizaban su patrimonio, sino también su libertad.
Ucrania estaba tan sumida en su felicidad y observando a la gente, que un palmadita en el hombro la tomó por sorpresa.
Ucrania: Hmm ... * Volvió la cabeza *
?: Bueno eres tú. *con una suspira de alivia* Yo estaba teniendo problemas para encontrarla. * Pone su mano hacia abajo, a su lado. Mientras que la otra mano se mantiene detrás de su espalda. *
Ucrania: Oh, Señor Turquía... ¿Qué lo trae a mi humilde hogar? *preguntó instintivamente a pesar de que ya podía adivinar la respuesta. Giró su cuerpo hacia él.*
Turquía: Bueno, he oído la noticia de que recuperó su soberanía. Ya era hora de que tuviera su libertad, jovencita. *Asintió* ... Sé que probablemente no soy el primero en hacer esto, pero però vine a felicitarla. Yo también le traje un regalito para mostrar mi sinceridad ... * sacó un hermoso ramo de flores de detrás de su espalda. Se componia de ambos tulipanes y girasoles, que resultaron ser las flores nacionales de ambos paises. ** Ucrania recibió el regalo con un poco de perplejo, ella realmente no se lo esperaba.* ... Oí que le gustan Girasoles así que le traje algunas , también le puse los últimos de mis tulipanes ... rojo era todo lo que tenía. * se sonrojó ligeramente *
Ucrania:Gracias, por el bonito regalo, son hermosas, pero no tenía que darme un regalo. Su reconocimiento por sí solo es el regalo más grande que le podía pedir.
Turquía: De nada. Lo sé ... * se rascaba la cabeza * Sólo quería  que mis felicitaciones fueran especial y que temgan un poco más de sentido. * rió * ... Espero que a partir de hoy nuestras relaciones entre nosotros serán capaces de florecer *asintió * ... nuestras relaciones diplomáticas es lo que quise decir. *agregó en un poco nervioso*
Ucrania: Yo también lo espero, me gustaría mucho eso. * dijo con una risa cálida *
Turquía: * Sonrió * Bueno, realmente es mejor que me vaya, * dijo dando un paso atrás * Yo no quisiera sobrepasar mi bienvenida. *dijo medio bromeando, seguido de una risita * Sé que usted quiere celebrar este occasation feliz con su gente, así que voy a dejar que haga eso en paz. Felicidades una vez más sobre su independencia, les deseo suerte y que la gente respete su soberanía.
* Turquía ya había caminado fuera de su alcance antes de que Ucrania podría responder.*
(Ucrania: Gracias, Turquía No sabes cuánto significa su pequeño gesto para mí * Ella susurró con una gran sonrisa en su rostro. *.)

Yo estaba realmente tentada a dibujar Turquía sin su máscara, pero decidí dejarla.
Originalmente iba a colorear los tulipanes de color amarillo, pero con los girasoles era demasiado amarillo, además me gustan los tulipanes rojos mejor y el significado detrás de ellos, se significan "amor perfecto" y hay una leyenda Turca de cómo llegaron a ese significado .
Creo que mi hermano podría estar en lo cierto que fui yo poco por la borda con todas las flores.
Sé que la bandera ucraniana normalmente no tiene el tridente, pero es realmente un hermoso símbolo, que realmente quería añadirlo.
